Halloween is serious business for a lot of folks. From the house decorations to the elaborate costumes, and this sentiment even extends to our four-legged friends.
We will literally spare no expense for their animals.
According to the National Retail Federation, Americans reportedly spent $700 million this year on Halloween costumes just for their pets!
The top choices for pet costumes included pumpkin, hot dog, bat, bumblebee, and spider.
The Halloween spending wasn't just limited to our pets, though.
The NRF also found that altogether, Halloween spending in the U.S. will likely top $12 billion, a new record, and that the average shopper would spend $108 on candy, costumes, and decorations.
