Christina Applegate has been living with Multiple Sclerosis ever since being diagnosed while filming the third season of her Netflix series Dead to Me.

MS affects the central nervous system, and though Applegate is still learning to live with the disease, she does know one thing: her time as an actress is probably over.

Applegate said in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, "I'm probably not going to work on-camera again," but noted that her final role, alongside Linda Cardellini, was one of her favorites.

She continued, "Ping-pong is so much more fun when the other person is just as good as you are," she noted. "...I'm so glad that I went out with someone who is by far the greatest actress I've ever worked with in my entire life, if not the greatest human I've ever known."

Production on Dead to Me was delayed in August of 2021 after Applegate learned of her diagnosis.

Though she was able to complete filming in November, 2022, Applegate said that with her symptoms, it was "as hard as you would possibly think it would be."
