After what initially was an eight-day journey, astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams arrived safely back to earth after more than nine months in space.

Their return had a lot of people wondering how much overtime the pair would be receiving for being stranded in the great unknown.

And the answer is…not a whole lot.

According to FOX News, since Wilmore and Williams are salaried employees, they are not due any overtime and are only owed $5 a day for what NASA calls “incidental expenses for travel.”

Being stranded in space sounds a lot more serious than just “incidental.”

The pair were stranded on the space station for 286 days, which means they’re each due $1,430 for their incidental travel expenses.
