A professional basketball game recently occurred between the G-League, NBA's minor league, team the Ignite versus the French basketball team Metropolitans 92.
While much of the focus was on Metropolitans 92's Victor Wembanyama and Ignite's Scoot Henderson, whom many consider the top prospects in the upcoming NBA draft, another player stole the headlines, not for his skills on the court, but solely because of his name.
The Metropolitans have a player named Steeve Ho You Fat and yes, that is his real name.
Per Larry Brown Sports, Ho You Fat is a 34-year-old forward from Cayenne, French Guiana in his second season with the Metros and is averaging 2.7 points per game this season.
The game was broadcast on ESPN, and fans were quick to latch on to America's new favorite basketball player.
