The Seattle area is also seeing record snowfall currently, with around nine inches falling this past Saturday. A couple of burglars tried to break into a Tacoma home, about 30 miles south of the city, this past weekend, and should have taken the recent snowfall into account.
The police caught them at the scene, and the pair tried to run away. The cops gave a leisurely chase, though, because all they had to do was follow the burglar's footprints in the snow, which led them to their precise location!
They found one of the suspects hiding in a dumpster in a church parking lot. They found the other in a tree, according to KIRO 7.
Both men are now facing charges of second-degree burglary and obstructing an officer. The dumpster man was also booked for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
