Cedar Hill High School track star Diallo Good was inspired to do something good after seeing a picture of his recently late great-aunt Jean.
In the photo, Jean is seen coloring and doing crossword puzzles inside her nursing room home, so, he began gathering the same. Now, Good's home is filled with donated crossword puzzles, coloring books and crayons that will soon be distributed to seniors in nursing homes.
Good out out the call for coloring books and puzzles on Facebook, and was overwhelmed with the response. He told NBC DFW, "Makes you feel like anything's possible. Like, how I'm trying to help people I don't know, these people are helping me that don't know me."
Last weekend, Good hewon first at the state meet as part of the Cedar Hill Longhorn 4x100 relay team. The team finished second in the state overall.
With graduation on the horizon, Good wants to study kinesiology next year and continue running track, though Good says doing some good is how he's going to spend his time now.
He says, "I feel like it's something I could keep doing. There's a lot of good people in this world, and God puts a lot of people in positions to help others, so why not?"
