Michael Irvin is the latest celebrity to dip his toes into the service industry with the opening of his new sports bar and restaurant Playmakers 88.
The restaurant will hold its grand opening this weekend in The Colony, off 121 in the space formerly occupied by Knockout Sports Bar.
Irvin said in a press release per the Dallas Morning News, “I am truly honored to create an upscale sports bar and restaurant where sports fans can cheer on their favorite teams and athletes while enjoying great food, cocktails, and company.”
The restaurant, which will have more than 50 TVs and is adorned with Dallas sports memorabilia, will feature a menu from Chef Rassaun “RJ” Johnson, and will feature sports bar classics like burgers and wings, but also pastas and seafood like crab cakes, shrimp, and salmon.
Though the grand opening is this weekend, Playmakers 88 soft opened last month and is located at 5005 State Highway 121 in The Colony.
