Last Thursday, a woman professed her love to the big cats at the Bronx Zoo in a rather...interesting way.
A woman named Myah Autry was filmed jumping into the lion enclosure at the zoo, where she told the big cat that she "loved" him, and proceeded to throw $100 bills in his direction.
Autry was filmed yelling "I missed him so much," and "King, I love you!" as she threw the money at the lion, per video obtained by NBC New York, and this isn't the first time the woman has had a run-in with the police.
She was arrested in 2019 after security footage caught her sneaking into the lion's den, also at the Bronx Zoo.
Zoo officials were notified of Autry's actions, but she had left the premises by the time they got there.
A zoo spokesperson said in a statement Friday, "This situation involves one individual who is determined to harass our lions with no regard for her safety, or the safety of our staff and our guests, and no regard for the well-being of the lions. We have an NYPD substation in the park and are working closely with them to resolve this situation with this individual. The Bronx Zoo has a zero-tolerance policy in matters such as this and will aggressively seek prosecution against this individual and anyone who violates park safety rules."
