We knew Halloween would look a little different in California this year especially with the so-called Skittle Ban, but this may be taking things a bit too far.
A father in Alameda, California says his kids went trick-or-treating, and instead of candy one house gave the children sauce packets instead!
Hey, at least it's better than the dentist's house that would hand out apples and toothbrushes, right?
The dad seemed to find the situation amusing telling KTVU, "Single serving sauce packets were 'recycled' as 'treats.' Let it not be said that Alameda peeps don't have a great sense of humor."
Some people online considered the tiny sriracha packets a score, since there's a shortage of the hot sauce currently.
