Anyone with a dog knows that dogs and fireworks do not mix, so tonight might be especially rough for all of our canine friends.
As such, Dallas Animal Services is looking for volunteers to help comfort all of their shelter dogs during tonight's New Year's fireworks festivities.
According to NBC DFW, volunteers are needed from 10:30 pm tonight until 12:30 tomorrow morning for their Calming the Canines event.
Volunteers are invited to bring books, folding chairs, or yoga mats so they can sit comfortably while they read, sing or play instruments to the shelter pets.
Rahr & Sons Brewing Company will also be providing treats to those who volunteer.
