26-year-old Charles Tisaby had a heck of a time last Sunday.

The man is being accused of stealing a DART paratransit van Sunday night and taking it on a joyride through Dallas before crashing into several parked cars and a bicyclist before ultimately being arrested.

A spokesperson for DART told NBC DFW that Tisaby stole the bus from its paratransit facility in East Dallas and took  the vehicle along Interstate 30, Central Expressway, driving in the opposite direction as well, and the Bryan Place neighborhood, crashing into at least six parked cars along the way.

Tisaby also struck a bicyclist who was thankfully uninjured.

Tisaby is bcurrently eing held in the Dallas County Jail on two charges of resisting arrest, from 2022, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.  DART Police is leading the ongoing investigation.

This kind of incident is a first for DART Police.  DART spokesperson Gordon Shattles said, "This is the first time we've ever had a vehicle stolen from the paratransit facility.  We're just very happy that one - no one was injured and two - that we were able to get this person arrested immediately."
