Strip clubs and more sex-oriented businesses may soon face restrictions on when they will be allowed to operate!
As it stands, these businesses don't have any restrictions on when they can operate though under the new proposal, they will be forced to close their doors from 2 to 6 a.m.
Council member Adam Bazaldua said per the Dallas News, "This is to address being able to better regulate hours of operation for businesses that we have seen have criminal activity and where it's been most prominent."
Bazaldua also said that sometime next month, council members will hear the police recommendations, any relevant statistics and possible legal challenges. The police department has to approve licenses for all sexually oriented businesses in Dallas to operate.
