More than half of all marriages end in divorce these days, which means a lot of folks are left picking up the pieces of their lives after splitting from their partner.

Depending on your counsel, most people leave a marriage without half of their stuff.  It is this thought in mind behind a growing trend on the internet: divorce registries.

Per HuffPost, like a wedding registry, divorce registries are there so friends and family members can support you through you time of need, and purchase household items you may be without following a separation.

Divorce registries are a growing trend on TikTok, where a woman named Kaila likens it to people creating wedding registries.  She says in her video, "When is another time in your life that you really need people to show up and be with you and give you things and replace your things?"

Not everyone is down with the idea of divorce registries, though.  One X user remarked, "You broke it, you buy it," while another added, "Divorce registry? First you give em' wedding and baby shower gifts... now I gotta give you a gift 'cause it didn't last?"
