We all have that one junk drawer in the house that's just full of....stuff, right. Well what happens when that one drawer expands, becomes multiple boxes?
And it's never stuff that you need; it's just stuff that for some reason, you can't seem to throw away.
If you've graduated from shoving all this junk into one drawer or even a closet into now having multiple boxes of worthless items, you have what TikTok is calling "doom boxes."
According to YourTango, a doom boxes are what people use to stash papers, receipts, and other things "they don't have a specific place for at the moment," though having a plan to find a place for the items later. However, many of these doom boxes end up becoming these items "forever homes."
And recent studies have shows that having doom boxes can be linked to also having ADHD!
People with ADHD have been found to be at increased risk for hoarding-type behaviors due to "difficulties with certain types of executive function, including inattention, impulsivity, and an inability to make decisions."
I just learned about "doom boxes" on TikTok and have just alerted my family that we all do, in fact, have adhd

Doom boxes sound an awful lot like Rebekah's car situation, by the way.
