Electric scooters could be back on Dallas streets by June 1

A few years ago, Dallas was knee-deep in the electric scooter craze, until the devices were ultimately banned by the city in 2020.

Scooters were often left in piles on the sidewalk, which upset residents and city officials leading to their ousting

However, electric scooters are on their way back.  Last June, the Dallas City Council voted for their return, which is shaping up to be this June.

According to the Dallas Observer, electric scooters could make their return to Dallas streets as early as next month!

In a memo from Assistant City Manager Robert M. Perez, he said the relaunch of Dallas’ “shared dockless vehicle program” is planned for June 1.
