If you grew up a professional wrestling fan in Texas, no doubt you've heard the lore about the Von Erich family.
It's one of the most tragic tales in all of sports, with five of the brothers passing before hitting the age of 33. Still, the tale is fascinating, and has been turned into a movie starring Zac Efron, and The Bear's Jeremy Allen White.
The synopsis of the film. Which is from studio A24, reads:
The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.
The Iron Claw is set to hit theaters December 22.
