TikTok can be a wonderful source of comedy and a great way to kill a little time.  Unfortunately, the social media app also seems to be the facilitator of incredibly stupid challenges.

One of these challenges landed four Kentucky teens in jail, after they told their teachers they had bombs in their backpack.

We don't know how these "challenges" or pranks seem to evolve, but A) telling your teacher you have a bomb or gun in your backpack and recording it is not that creative a prank, and B) in this day and age ESPECIALLY, why would you ever joke about something like that?

Three of the students were charged with making "terroristic threats" after pranking their teachers at Oldham County High School, located  20 miles northeast of Louisville, and the fourth student, who attends South Oldham High School, was said to have "also been inspired by the trend," and was charged with "harassing communications."

All four teens have been indefinitely suspended from classes and ordered to complete a mental health screening before returning to school.

According to the NY Post, the school district sent letters to parents urging them to "warn their children about the consequences of making such dangerous allegations."
