Fort Worth police officer R. Salazar was in the middle of a virtual meeting inside the Northwest Police Station when he heard a woman screaming outside.
When he approached the vehicle, he found the woman in active labor.
Officer Salazar requested assistance from the Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar Mobile Healthcare, but the baby had plans of its own.
Before further help could arrive, Officer Salazar helped deliver the new bouncing baby on the side of the road.
According to NBC DFW, both mother and baby did great, and were shortly thereafter transported to a local hospital for routine treatment.
