When she was just 4-years-old, Grapevine girl Paisley Elliott gave away all of her stuffed animals to kids in Syria after learning about refugees in school.

She explained to NBC DFW, "When I was at home, I had all of the stuffed animals to help keep me safe, and feel safe and warm. Those kids might not have a stuffed animal or something like that so I thought I would just make them feel safer."

Furthermore, she began collecting stuffed animals from around her neighborhood to send overseas, thus birthing her organization Paisley's Pals.

Three years later, Paisley has completed projects in Greece, Mexico and Nicaragua, bringing hundreds of pounds of first aid and supplies to countless families overseas.

For her work, Paisley was recently nominated for the prestigious International Children's Peace Prize, often referred to as the "Nobel Peace Prize" for kids, and at just 7-years-old, she isn't even old enough to be nominated!

Her mother explained, "She's actually not even old enough to be nominated for it. The foundation that nominated her has also sent over two letters asking for them to either make an exception or to lower the requirement of the minimum age because of her large resume and large amount of humanitarian work she's already done."

Paisley has no plans of slowing down any time soon.

Her next big project will be the Shine Box, which aims at bringing STEAM-focused mobile classrooms to refugee camps.
