Halsey can't wait for the world to hear her latest single, but there is one thing standing in the way from that happening: her own record label.

The 27-year-old singer is claiming that her label, Astralwerks / Capitol Records, will not release the song until it goes viral on TikTok.

Halsey posted a video on, funny enough, TikTok that was had the caption:

I've been in this industry for eight years and I've sold over 165 million records and my record company is saying I can't release [the song] unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok.

Everything is marketing. And they are doing this to every artist these days. I just want to release music, man and I deserve better tbh. I'm tired.

Halsey would later update the situation on Twitter, saying that she and her label had another conversation about the song.
