There are too many streaming services these days. It seems every channel or network has their own service that requires a subscriptions, which has effectively given you a monthly bill about the same as a regular cable bill would be.
Jason Kilar, the CEO of HBO 's parent company Warner Media understands that the accumulation of multiple streaming services can be expensive, and offered a solution. Per Deadline, Kilar announced that they will soon be offering a cheaper, ad-supported version of HBO Max because, as he puts it, "most people are not wealthy."
HBO Max is currently the most expensive streaming service available, costing $14.99 per month.
No word yet on when the less-expensive version of HBO Max will be made available for subscription.
