Back in 1980 in Wylie, Texas, a woman named Candy Montgomery who murdered her best friend Betty Gore following a confrontation the two had about Montgomery's affair with Gore's husband.
According to WFAA, Montgomery sliced Gore 44 times with a woodcutting ax.
It was a case that rocked the nation, and certainly North Texas, at the time, and the story has been developed into a miniseries that is set to premiere on HBO April 27th.
Love and Death follows the harrowing tale, with Elizabeth Olsen starring as Candy Montgomery.
