On November 11, local Army Veteran Greg Dotson will be surprised with home repairs, and more, all thanks to a partnership between the Home Depot Foundation and the Semper Fi Fund.
According to a release from the Semper Fi Fund, Dotson will be surprised with a wheelchair ramp, outdoor pergola and deck, garage renovations, landscaping, and more!"
More than 75 members of Home Depot's associate volunteer force "Team Depot" will gather to help transform Dotson's home, and surprise him a gift he and his daughters can enjoy once the construction is completed.
Through grant funding from the Home Depot foundation, the Semper Fi Fund has provided:
-90 ADA Home Modification Projects
-243 Critical Home Repair Projects
-5 home workshops for Apprenticeship Program participants
-Assistance for Service Members affected by natural disasters
-69 pieces of Adaptive Equipment for Service Members
This project kicks off the Home Depot Foundation's Operation Surprise campaign, an annual giving campaign which runs from Veterans Day through the end of the year where across the country, members of Team Depot will take part in volunteer projects to support U.S. veterans and communities in need.
