It all started with Houston teen Jayden Buckley selling water bottles outside of a gas station to raise money for school supplies and help support his mother.
Buckley caught the attention of one particular woman who gave him a particularly big tip. He tells ABC13, "When this lady first gave me $100, I almost had a heart attack because I never thought that was going to happen. And then, a ton of people started pulling up."
The community caught on to Buckley's dedication to his mother and his education, and soon attracted the attention of Houston rapper Trae tha Truth, who took Jayden back-to-school shopping, along with his three siblings!
Jayden's mom Jamaica is a widow with four children, and says the family has had a difficult time since they moved to Houston from Atlanta in April. She has been working to get a job, but has not had any luck thus far.
She was overcome with emotions when she saw the outpouring of support for Jayden. "I'm just shocked because I never had anyone just bless me or my kids like this ever. (Wednesday) was the happiest I've seen him like in a while," she said.
