So over the weekend, we heard the story of a tiger roaming loose in a Houston neighborhood. Apparently, it belonged to someone living in the neighborhood, as it was wearing a collar while it was walking around.

As you could have guessed, the situation got incredibly tense, and after an armed standoff between the tiger owner and another resident, the tiger was guided safely back into its home.

Well, the tale didn't end there.

Apparently, the tiger's owner, 28-year-old Victor Cuevas, is out on bond for MURDER, after shooting and killing a man in 2017. He claims self-defense, but is facing murder charges.

After the tiger incident Sunday afternoon, he and the tiger took off before police could get to the west Houston neighborhood. It wasn't long before police were able to track down Cuevas and apprehend him.

He is now facing a felony charge for evading arrest.

According to ABC 13, Cuevas also had two monkeys living with him in the home, along with the tiger. Monkeys are apparently legal in Houston.

Cuevas' lawyer is already hard at work trying to clear his client saying quote, "People are making a lot of assumptions . . . maybe he might be the hero out there who caught the tiger that was in the neighborhood."
