A disturbing video from Mexico shows hundreds of yellow-headed blackbirds seemingly falling from the sky while flying through the city of Cuauhtémoc.
Now the cause for this event is still unclear, though experts have some opinions.
Dr Richard Broughton, an ecologist with UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, believes this event can only have been caused by a predatory bird.
He told WION News, "This looks like a raptor like a peregrine or hawk has been chasing a flock, like they do with murmurating starlings, and they have crashed as the flock was forced low. You can see that they act like a wave at the beginning, as if they are being flushed from above."
