Two influencers have drowned off the coast of Brazil after attending a boat party and refusing to wear life jackets.
The reason? They felt the jackets would "get in the way of their tanning."
37-year-old Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim and 27-year-old Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria refused the warnings and pleas to wear life preservers while attending a yacht party on the rough waters of Devil's Throat along the Iguazu River.
Unfortunately, as the boat was heading back to shore it capsized, throwing them in the chippy waters.
Sao Vincente Police Commissioner Marcos Alexandra Alfino said per the NY Post, "Some didn't want to put them on because they were taking selfies.
"They said that they get in the way of their tanning."
Alfino went on to explain the women's cause of death "is being determined very calmly to conclude if the fatalities were based on recklessness or negligence."
