Once one of Hollywood's young heartthrobs, actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas has led a life away from the spotlight the last few years.
He started acting in 1987 and the age of 7, and is most well known for playing Randy on the Tim Allen-led sitcom Home Improvement in the '90s.
He followed that notably by voicing Simba in the Disney classic The Lion King, and starred in a number of movies into the early 2000s.
The last fans saw him, however, was in a reunion with his TV dad on Allen's show Last Man Standing, of which he starred in four episodes between 2013 and 2015, along with directing three.
Thomas notably took a break from acting in 1999 to further his education, and he's always felt it's important for those in the entertainment industry it have a life outside of the entertainment industry. He said in 1996, "You can't be trapped in this bubble called the acting industry. The industry is neurotic and weird, and so when I go home and I play basketball with my friends, I'm not Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I'm just Jonathan. I don't like hanging out with other actors and actresses."
Recently however, Thomas was spotted in Hollywood, for what seems like the first time in forever, walking his dogs and smoking a vape. Nobody knows if he's in town just visiting or potentially working on a new project, but this is the first time anyone has really photographed him publicly since 2013, according to US Weekly.
While on his hiatus from acting, Thomas graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory School, and went on to attend Harvard University and Columbia University.
His last acting credit is his work in Last Man Standing, from 2013 to 2015.
