Remember the “Chase Glitch” from last week?  People were using a glitch in Chase’s ATMs to withdraw vast amounts of money from their bank accounts that they did not have.

It seems the banks took it upon themselves to get their revenge.

Multiple residents in Kentucky trying to withdraw money at the Providence Independent Bank were shocked that the $100 bills they withdrew were actually fake.

According to 14 News, the bills they were received were clearly marked as fake, and on the back contained prints that read “for motion picture purposes” and “in props we trust.”

Tiffany Vaughn, who withdrew $400 from the bank, only found out the money was fake after her husband attempted to use it.  She said, “It wasn’t just me, it was several people that went to that bank and pulled out 100′s.

“It was just the 100-dollar bills, it was none of the other cash. It felt real it looked real, just like a crisp new 100-dollar bill.”

Providence Independent Bank released a statement that read:

“Over the Labor Day weekend, Independence Bank was made aware of a limited number of customers receiving counterfeit bills from our Providence ATM. Our team took action immediately by closing the ATM and contacting our vendor that manages and maintains our machines. We began directly contacting the 14 people inconvenienced over the holiday weekend and have started the process of ensuring they receive proper bills. We apologize for any inconvenience and will continue to work with our ATM vendor and our customers to assure corrective action.”
