Before we get started, we need some context.  A "Furrie" is described as a subculture of individuals with a vast interest in anthropomorphic animal characters.

If you've ever been out and about and seen someone dressed head to toe in a wolf costume, congratulations you've seen a furrie.

Now, you can probably imagine there are a lot of folks these days who don't take too kindly to furries, one of those being Oklahoma lawmaker, Rep. Justin Humphrey.  He recently put forth a proposal that would ban "students who purport to be an imaginary animal or animal species, or who engage in anthropomorphic behavior commonly referred to as furries at school."

Further, House Bill 3084 would also require those students to be immediately picked up from school by their parents, and if their parents weren't available then by animal control!

According to FOX 23, if passed and signed into law, the bill would go into effect on Nov. 1, 2024.
