Lionel Richie recently appeared on The View alongside his American Idol judges Luke Bryan and Katy Perry where he got very candid about his life these days.
In fact, while speaking on his hit "All Night Long (All Night)," which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, Richie revealed that at 73-years-old, the lyrics don't really ring true with him like they used to.
Richie was asked by The View co-host Sara Haines to explain the meaning behind the song, in which the singer replied, "Let me give you the first part that I have to really, really say to you. When I wrote 'All Night Long,' it was truly all night long.
"Now my 'all night long' is down to a fierce 15 minutes, but, don't worry, we'll talk about that later!"
Perry looked shocked at Richie's remark and reached out to shake his hand saying, "Fifteen minutes, that's long, bud," to which Richie retorted, "And don't you forget that, alright?"
