A Little League coach in Houston is currently under investigation after parents say he mistreated and roughed up several 9-year-olds on an opposing team following a game.

After his Scorpions baseball team lost to Prospects Baseball, video shows head coach Kenneth Wendt being rough with some of the players on the opposing team while the teams met in a hand-shake line.  Some players can even be heard exclaiming "ow, ow, ow."

Prospects 9U baseball coach Victor Torres told KHOU, "Nothing in the world gives you the right to do that to kids."

Torres said you might expect that kind of behavior from a player, but never from a coach.

"They come in and they slap you hard on the hand. And you'll be like, 'hey, don't do that.' But an adult, you wouldn't expect it," he said. "I was upset. I was really upset."

Scorpions Baseball sent a note to KHOU stating that Wendt had been removed from his position:

His actions were unacceptable and do not align with our organization's values. We removed him from coaching and from our club about 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

However, Wendt does have his defenders.

One parent of a Scorpions baseball player said, "We have known the Wendt family for two years and Kenny has always been a great husband, father, and coach. He spends an extraordinary amount of time in coaching and helping kids and their families both on and off the field."

The Harris County Constable Precinct 5 Office is aware of the matter and is investigating.
