11-year-old Kate Trizila of Girl Scouts Troop 7755 has developed a creative way to sell as many Girl Scout cookies as possible.
She knew the methods of days past, including setting up outside of grocery stores and going door to door are not as safe as they used to be because of the pandemic. So, she turned to Great Grandma.
Each box of cookies comes with a face mask made by her great grandmother.
Girl Scout cookie season usually lasts from January to April, and is a great way for these young ladies to learn valuable business skills and for Kate, a way to rise above the challenges presented by Covid.
Kate's mother Jo said, "The cookie season teaches them so many skills. They learn how to be entrepreneurs. They learn math skills. They learn how to be gracious when someone says no. We just had to find a way to still do it and stand out."
