Shreya Bhandari is a high school senior at Independence High School in Frisco with a deep passion for education, especially mathematics.

She told NBC DFW, "I truly believe that every child in this world deserves a great education and love to contribute in any way towards that."

Bhandari's passion led her to publish her own math book, titled Addition Workbook For Kids, which she promises will "give students all the practice they need in order to excel."

This wasn't enough for Bhandari, however.

She purchased 100 copies of her own book in order to donate them to three nonprofits: Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County, Kairos International, and the Ronald McDonald House.

Shreya is currently ranked number one in her graduating class, and has already written numerous research articles published in international journals, and is the founder and president of the community club Future Problem Solving Frisco, which focuses on generating and implementing solutions to problems that may arise in the future.
