Lydia Jacoby is a 17-year-old swimmer from Alaska who just made Olympic history. The recent high school graduate won the gold medal in the women's 100-meter breaststroke, upsetting defending champion Lily King.

And of course, her hometown of Seward, Alaska went absolutely NUTS for her victory!

Video captured at a watch party at a railroad terminal saw hundreds of fans and erupt into cheers following her win. Jacoby told ESPN, "A lot of big-name swimmers come from big, powerhouse clubs. Me coming from a small club in a state with such a small population, really shows everyone that you can do it no matter where you're from.''

After her win, Jacoby was shown the video of the crowd cheering, where she called the support "amazing."
