Madonna says biggest career regret is turning down role in "The Matrix"

She didn't confirm the role, but could you imagine her as Trinity?

Madonna has dominated multiple mediums in her illustrious career, though even she can admit when she's made a mistake.

While appearing on The Tonight Show, Madonna revealed that some of her biggest regrets regarding her movie career include turning down roles in Batman Returns, and The Matrix!

Madonna told Fallon, "I also turned down the role in The Matrix. Can you believe that? I wanted to kill myself. That's like one of the best movies ever made. A teeny-tiny part of me regrets just that one moment in my life."

The Matrix went on to spawn a massive franchise which as grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide per Yahoo!.

Madonna was offered the role of Catwoman in the 1992 film Batman Returns, which she also revealed she wished she'd taken, describing the character as "fierce."

One role she was ok passing up? Nomi Malone in Showgirls, who ended up being played by Elizabeth Berkley.
