Summer vacations have come and gone, but we’ve got Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks to look forward to, so no doubt some trips are on the horizon for a lot of folks.
And for the majority of us, we’ll be traveling to a spot all too familiar, because chances are we’ve been there before.
A new survey conducted by OnePoll for the West Virginia Department of Tourism for “World Tourism Day” found that 68% of Americans always go on vacations to the same kinds of places.
However, we’re not afraid to shake things up a bit on the same old spots.
A little more than half of us (55%) say they prefer to incorporate new experiences and sights at these comfortable destinations, and 78% of us are likely to take a chance on visiting an entirely new destination.
According to the New York Post, northeasterners are the “least likely” to stray from their favorite kinds of vacation destinations.
