Nandan Kumar is a software engineer from India who last Sunday, flew on an airline called IndiGo that unfortunately misplaced his luggage.
Actually he and an other customer just grabbed each other's bags, but upon called IndiGo for support found that the airline wasn't actually very helpful.
Kumar repeatedly reached out to customer service and found they would be no help, so he proceeded to hack into IndiGo's website to see if he could find his lost luggage himself.
All he wanted was the other traveler's phone number in order to coordinate a swap, so he hacked into the website's code, used a number on the bag tag to find their contact info, and found they actually only lived four miles from him. They met up soon after and exchanged their luggage.
IndiGo responded to Kumar's actions saying their site was "never really compromised," and the only reason they hadn't found his bag was because he labelled his inquiry as a "flight info" concern rather than a "mishandled baggage."
Per India Today, the airline said they will be looking further into the matter.
