He tried to flee the scene on a stolen bicycle that had two flat tires. Definitely wasn't built for speed.

25-year-old Alexis Gomez stole a pickup truck this past Tuesday afternoon and led police on a chase through Clackamas County in Oregon.

Gomez exchanged gunfire with a citizen who called the police to report the license plate of the truck, and he eventually crashed the pickup into the detached garage of a Clackamas County neighborhood.

Gomez then made his way to the home of Paul Wille, who wasn't home at the time of the incident. Gomez broke into Willie's home, and emerged a short while later wearing a stolen costume of Ricky Bobby, the main character of the film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, whom was played by Will Ferrell.

Gomez also lifted some jewelry and other valuables from the home, and stashed them in a suitcase and attempted to flee. Gomez tried to escape riding a bike that unfortunately had two flat tires.

Willie, who had been watching all of the events unfold via security camera on his phone, had already called the cops, so it wasn't too long before Gomez was apprehended on the stolen bike, wearing the full Ricky Bobby costume hat and all.

According to KGW, Garcia is facing a bevy of charges including first-degree assault, attempting to elude police, and first-degree burglary.

The police were able to get the costume back to Willie just in time for Halloween.
