Plano Fire-Rescue says one of their fire engines was stolen from a storage yard in Balch Springs Saturday afternoon.
The man behind the wheel, 27-year-old Jose Mora, ended up taking the vehicle on a joyride for hours before finally being caught.
Officers tell FOX 4 they spotted the vehicle driving along Main Street, near Harwood Street, in Downtown Dallas, where they pulled it over and took Mora into custody.
The engine was then taken to a nearby fire station, where it was picked it up and taken to a secure location.
