Recently, 20-year-old Duncan Smith of Gainesville, Florida was on a self-proclaimed "spiritual journey."
Now, everybody reacts differently to their own spiritual journey, and the journey itself can take many different forms. For Duncan Smith, it meant stealing a police car!
Smith stole the vehicle from a fenced in parking lot at the Gainesville Regional Airport Thursday night. Police eventually caught up to Smith after he used a stolen Alachua County Sheriff credit card, which the police were able to track.
The Florida man tried to explain to the police that he was on a "spiritual journey," and apparently stealing a police car was all part of it.
Smith faces charges of burglary, larceny and vehicular theft.
