Stepping into the co-host’s chair will be none other than Kelly Ripa’s husband Mark Consuelos!

“This is amazing,” Consuelos wrote on Instagram after Seacrest announced his departure.  Consuelos also added that he “has some big shoes to fill.”

Per PEOPLE, Seacrest said his it was a “tough, tough” decision to leave Live and a ”bittersweet” one.

Seacrest now plans to move back to the West Coast ahead of the live shows of American Idol, of which the 21st season is set to premiere February 19th.
