In his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, Matthew Perry not only opened up about his past drug addictions, but he also took the opportunity to launch some random disses at one of Hollywood's most beloved figures.
Twice in his memoir, Perry took aim at Keanu Reeves, writing at one point "Why is it that the original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us?"
Later on, upon learning about the death of his Almost Heroes co-star Chris Farley, Perry wrote that he "punched a hole through Jennifer Aniston's dressing room wall when I found out," before adding, lamentably, "Keanu Reeves walks among us."
Perry recently admitted that he regrets calling out Reeves in his book.
He said during an appearance at a recent book festival, per the Los Angeles Times, "I said a stupid thing. It was a mean thing to do. I pulled his name because I live on the same street. I've apologized publicly to him. Any future versions of the book will not have his name in it."
Perry added, "If I run into the guy, I'll apologize. It was just stupid."

I apologize. I should have used my own name instead."
As for Reeves, he was more confused about Perry's comments, with a source telling Us Weekly that he "thought the comments came out of left field.
"It's kind of backfired on Matthew anyway, which is why he had to apologize."
