Tony Philiou started as a part-time crew member at a Mayfield Heights, Ohio McDonald's over 60 years ago.
Over the years, he's risen in the ranks and at one point owned seven Cleveland area franchises of the fast food chain.
His decades of experience at the Golden Arches has taught him the value of taking care of his employees, which is why one of his restaurants was closed for renovations earlier this year, Philiou continued to pay his employees.
Philiou told WKYC, "I have people here that make a living here and go from week-to-week pay. How can I tolerate for them to not have a paycheck?"
Now, the building has been completely renovated, and all of his employees are back.
"That was the thing to do," Philiou said. "That was the thing to do."
