Although the Dallas Cowboys didn't make it past Wildcard Weekend this season, they did prove to make a good decision with their first-round draft pick. Linebacker Micah Parsons from Penn State was selected, and he's been considered the best player on the team this year by many.
Tuesday, the Professional Football Writers of America named him 2021-22 Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year. A few factors included that he started in every game of the season and tied the NFL record for rookie sacks.
Shortly after the announcement was posted on Twitter, Parsons Tweeted: "God is amazing!" The "young lion" could also be honored by the league as NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Those winners will be announced February 10th.
