18-year-old Zion Brown was recently accused of robbing a Chicago train earlier this week.
Brown was charged with the crimes after pictures of his robbery went public, and his owwn mother recognized him in the photos and dragged him to the police station herself to confess.
On Tuesday, February 15th, Brown, while on an inbound Metra Electric train pulling into a station, allegedly took out a black semiautomatic handgun and announced a robbery. He took all of the conductor's cash and ran off into the station, according to CBS Chicago.
Pictures of the robbery were published, after which his mother recognized him and took him to the station to confess. Brown says he did it because he was hungry and looking for money to eat.
Brown has no criminal history, and the firearm used was a BB gun, after which he threw it in a dumpster alley.
He's currently facing charges of armed robbery.
