We couldn't imagine what life is like for kids stuck in hospitals, though hopefully their lives will be just a little easier thanks to the incredible generosity from Nintendo.
Nintendo, through a partnership with the Starlight Children's Foundation, to deliver Nintendo Switch. video game consoles to sick kids in hospitals. Lexi Little of Christus Shreveport-Bossier Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana, told CNN, "Starlight Gaming has been a great aid in helping patients cope with hospitalization. Julie Hertzog, child life supervisor at Mary Bridge, said in a statement, "The gaming stations are important distraction tools that normalize the health care environment and help kids through difficult experiences. They provide choices for kids, motivate them, and give them the opportunity to have fun when it is needed most."
Kids will have access to more than 25 games including Super Mario Party and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the stations are easy to clean and transport from room to room.
Nintendo and Starlight have been working together for the past thirty years, and have donated more than 7,200 gaming stations to more than 800 hospitals and health care facilities.
