Last year, Rhiannon Menn started the "Lasagna Love" program out of her kitchen to help people in need impacted by the pandemic.

Lasagna Love caught on, all the way to North Texas where Arlington woman Amy Seiders, where she has become one of the 20,000 "lasagna mommas" and "lasagna poppas" who cooks and sends lasagnas from her kitchen to people in need.

Together, these volunteers have sent 41,000 lasagnas across the entire United States, averaging 4,000 delivers a week!

Seiders says no reason is too small for a free lasagna, and each delivery isn't just about the food. She told NBC DFW, "There are a lot of reasons, especially now in COVID times, where people just need a little bit of kindness. Feeding people is a way to help them heal, more than just physically but from a mental and emotional capacity too."

To request a meal or to nominate someone to receive one, you can visit Lasagna Love's website, where you'll also find information on how to volunteer or contribute.
