At every Olympics, officials hand out thousands of condoms to athletes in order to promote some safe "fun" in the Olympic Village. Hey we already saw the disputed rumor about the "sex-free" beds after all.
Well Australian canoer Jessica Fox found another interesting use for one of the condoms handed out, and it won her a gold medal.
Fox posted a TikTok that revealed that she used a condom to secure a carbon mixture to the front of her kayak, and that the condom's stretchy latex gave the carbon a "smooth finish."
Well, after using the condoms to fix her Kayak, Fox would go on to win her first Olympic gold medal in the women's C1 canoe slalom, and the bronze in the canoe slalom K1 final!
Per the NY Post, officials gave out 160,000 condoms this year at the Olympics. But it only took one to help Fox win the gold!
