We're living in a world where we see everything through our smartphones.
So much so, Google has just announced an update for Android phones that will send out a ping or alert whenever someone who is texting while walking is about to run into something.
According to The Sun, the "Heads Up" feature will send you a notification if it senses you walking with your phone unlocked, and will also warn users of their potential surroundings in the form of a "pinging noise" if the phone isn't silenced.
Google warns though to always pay attention and don't rely solely on the feature to prevent you from walking into something and potentially injuring yourself.
The company says, "While we have tested this feature to be as accurate as possible, do not rely solely on this feature to keep safe. Please always use your best judgement, and use this feature as a gentle reminder when you do find yourself distracted while walking."
